Hi! I'm glad you are here.

My goal is to make therapy approachable and genuine, recognizing that we all need support at different times in our lives. Whether you're just beginning to explore counselling, or returning after time away, our work will be shaped around what matters most to you.

I embed warmth, humour, and science in my practice, meaning we will go beyond just surface level coping skills and incorporate psycho-education and evidence-based processes to support you in a way that feels both effective and meaningful.  I prioritize the therapeutic relationship I have with my clients, creating a space for humans to feel genuinely connected, supported, and seen, with the ability to gently challenge you, when needed, to see your capacity for change.

You don't have to have it all figured out, or even know where to start!  I offer free initial consult calls so we can explore whether I am a good fit for what you are looking for.

Experience:

Over the past 13+ years, I’ve worn many hats working with people in clinical, community, academic, and corporate settings. I’ve worked with survivors of sexual violence and childhood trauma, adults involved in the correctional system, teens and their parents navigating mental health and academic challenges in a school-based setting, and Indigenous youth affected by the child welfare system. I have also spent years working in the corporate world, directly supporting executive leaders and HR professionals, an experience that gave me a firsthand understanding of workplace mental health, burnout and occupational stress. These experiences have all shaped the way I show up in this work with flexibility and respect for the complexities of each person’s story.

In addition to private practice therapy, I work in the non-profit sector providing counselling services to young moms facing adversity, and education and advocacy work to improve systems of support and care for youth and families impacted by the stress and stigma of a parents substance use, work that is meaningful to me.

I truly love being a therapist, it brings me immense gratitude and joy.

Personal Interests:

Outside the therapy room, you’ll find me making pottery, art or drawing bad comics, travelling, attempting to keep up with a yoga practice, thinking about my morning coffee before I go to sleep, bingeing a good TV series, snuggling my cat (or any animal nearby), and more realistically, taking a nap. My friends would probably describe me as funny, caring, and passionate, and a client once described me as "the literal G.O.A.T" .... (yes, I keep up with the Gen z lingo).

I look forward to meeting you.
